The Freed Yak
The Freed Yak centers on a profound generational and spiritual collision on the Tibetan plateau. When a youth sells his family’s livestock to fund his creative ambitions, he inadvertently disrupts a sacred family ritual meant to bless him. His subsequent solo quest to track down the sold animal becomes a canvas for a deeper psychological struggle: individual aspiration wrestling with ancestral devotion. Blending raw, observational realism with surreal touches of magical realism, the film offers a poetic, high-impact exploration of guilt, modern identity, and the price of one's dreams.

Set against the vast pastures of the Tibetan plateau, The Shepo is an intimate documentary portrait of two young film graduates returning to their roots. Lying beneath the open sky, they navigate a profound internal landscape—balancing the tranquil comfort of a herder’s life with a yearning for artistic creation.
